In today’s Devotional we learn that there are seasons of life that are special but that Jesus should be the focus of all the seasons in our life.
Bible Study Verse
Jeremiah 29:11 MSG “…I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out – plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”
Thoughts
October is my favorite time of the year. The weather is normally calm and cool and the skies are beautiful, bow season is open, lake, bay and surf waters are cooler and the fishing is great and it’s my Birthday on October 9th. This year I will be a young 71. The fall is fast approaching in this wonderful year of 2022. The excitement is beginning to ramp up for hunting season. Plans are being made. Blinds are put up or moved. Food plots are growing and feeders are filled. Scouting has begun. Cameras are already in place. The fall colors in the north will begin to change soon. It’s a fun time of year. The talk is about how good hunting conditions are this year. Seems like it should be a good antler growth year. Farmers say it’s a good growing season.
Action Plan
My question to you is this, do we get this excited about life in general? The answer is probably NO. Do we get this excited about reading our Bible or going to a Study Group or watching a Christian movie? The answer is quite possibly NO. The bigger question is, do we get this excited about our relationship with Jesus? Read the above verse again. This verse should get you excited. WOW! How exciting it is to know that God’s got our back. Are we this enthusiastic about meeting Him in Heaven and getting a big hug from him as he welcomes home his child? Take a few minutes and think about your relationship with Jesus and how excited you are to be a child of God.
Sportsman’s Tip of the Day
Time to get with hunting and fishing friends and plan your next adventure. Get excited about life and enjoy yourself. Sign up for a COF weekend hunt. You will have a blast. No pun intended.
